Nagra - ION
Ion by NAGRA integrates the full capabilities of the OpenTV Suite—including the OS, Platform, Experience, and Player—alongside pre-integrated set-top box hardware and an extensive third-party content network. This innovative solution empowers service providers to deliver feature-rich, next-generation Subscription Video On Demand services.
In my role, I was tasked with ensuring consistency as Ion was developed and deployed across various platforms. To achieve this, I spearheaded the creation of a comprehensive style and deployment guide, which served as a roadmap for both national and international teams. This guide provided clear standards and guidelines, enabling seamless product demo deployment and ensuring a cohesive representation of Ion’s brand and functionality.
By fostering alignment across teams and platforms, I contributed to a unified and efficient approach to showcasing Ion, reinforcing its position as a leader in the SVOD market.

As part of the Ion project, I played a pivotal role in creating a cohesive design system and comprehensive guidelines to unify the platform’s visual identity and user experience. These guidelines covered critical elements, including logo treatment, color schemes, typography, visual components, icons, media cards, spacing, style, and navigation.
My primary focus was on ensuring consistency and delivering optimal user experiences across diverse platforms, including iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as set-top boxes. By standardizing these design elements, I enabled seamless integration and deployment, fostering a unified brand presence and a user-centric approach across all touchpoints.
Style Guide & UX Support
After creating the comprehensive design guide for Ion, I leveraged its elements and specifications to support the team in developing new product features for NAGRA’s OpenTV Suite ION.
Within the team, I collaborated on detailed redline documentation to ensure consistent design and functionality across all platforms. Additionally, I took the lead in wireframing various components to support prototyping efforts and collect valuable user field test data, driving insights for iterative improvements.
To enhance communication and maintain a professional presentation of our work, I established presentation standards and developed marketing collateral for broader team use. These assets provided a cohesive and polished approach to communicating Ion’s features and capabilities internally and externally.
